Preparing the Jalapeños

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Be sure to wear gloves when handling the peppers to avoid irritation.

  • Set the jalapeño halves aside.

Making the Filling

  • In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until creamy and smooth.

  • Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them generously.

Wrapping with Bacon

  • Cut the bacon slices in half to fit around each jalapeño half.

  • Wrap each stuffed jalapeño with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick to hold the bacon in place.

Baking the Poppers

  • Arrange the bacon-wrapped jalapeño poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbling.
