This easy meal prep recipe is perfect for any occasion, whether you need quick party appetizers or a cozy addition to your meal. Follow this guide on how to cook stuffed mushrooms, and you’ll have a crowd-pleaser ready in no time!

Ingredients You'll Need

  • 16 large button mushrooms

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled

For an added twist, experiment with different cheeses. For instance, mixing in some feta or cheddar can offer a delightful variation in taste.

Preparing the Mushrooms

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Clean mushrooms with a damp paper towel and remove stems. Chop the stems finely for the filling.

Making the Filling

  • Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add chopped mushroom stems and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft.

  • If you’re adding sausage, cook it with the stems until browned. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

Stuffing the Mushrooms

  • Arrange mushroom caps hollow-side-up on a baking sheet or in a baking dish.

  • Fill each with the cream cheese mixture.

  • Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top for crunch, if desired.

Baking Time

  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and tender.

  • Cool slightly before serving.

Enjoy!
