Hearty Spaghetti

This flavorful spaghetti combines ground beef, green peppers, and mushrooms in a rich garlic Parmesan sauce. It's a quick, satisfying meal perfect for any night. Simple ingredients and bold flavors make it a family favorite!




Ingredients You'll Need

 
  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 jar Prego Garlic & Parmesan sauce (24 oz)

  • 1 green pepper, diced

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced

  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 8 oz spaghetti

  • Olive oil (for cooking)

  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish (optional)


Cooking the Spaghetti

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook spaghetti according to package instructions (usually 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.


Preparing the Sauce and Meat

  • Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add 1 lb ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned (about 6-8 minutes).

  • Drain excess fat if necessary, then add diced green pepper and sliced mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until vegetables soften.


Making the Sauce

  • Stir in 1 jar of Prego Garlic & Parmesan sauce

  • Add:

    • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    • salt

    • pepper

  • Bring to a simmer and cook for 5-7 minutes to allow flavors to combine.


Serving

  • Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce mixture until well-coated.

  • Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil or parsley (optional).
