This dish combines fresh, rich tuna with creamy avocado and a tangy soy-lime dressing, served with crispy wonton chips for the perfect texture contrast. It’s the ideal appetizer for impressing your guests!

Ingredients You'll Need
1 lb sushi-grade tuna, finely diced
1 ripe avocado, diced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for heat)
1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
1/2 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1/2 tablespoon olive oil (for searing tuna)
Wonton chips for serving
Preparing the Tuna
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the tuna for about 30 seconds on each side, ensuring the outside is lightly cooked while the inside remains raw. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
Once cooled, finely dice the seared tuna into small, bite-sized pieces.
Making the Soy Lime Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh lime juice, grated ginger, and chili flakes (if using). Stir until well combined.
Assembling the Tuna Tartare
In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the diced tuna with the diced avocado, green onions, and sesame seeds.
Pour the soy-lime dressing over the mixture and toss lightly to combine, ensuring the tuna and avocado are evenly coated.
Serving
Spoon the tuna tartare mixture onto individual serving plates or bowls.
Serve with crispy wonton chips on the side for dipping.
