These vegan sliders are packed with flavor and easy to make. Perfect for any gathering or as a quick weeknight meal, they’re made with wholesome plant-based ingredients like lentils, chickpeas, or black beans. Serve on soft slider buns with fresh veggies and a creamy vegan mayo for the perfect bite-sized treat!

Ingredients You'll Need

  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas (or 1 cup cooked lentils or black beans)

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free option)

  • 1 tbsp ground flaxseed (mixed with 3 tbsp water to make a flax egg)

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari (for gluten-free)

  • 1 tbsp mustard

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

  • Slider buns (gluten-free if needed)

  • Toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, vegan mayo, mustard, or ketchup

Prepare the Veggie Patty Mixture

  • In a food processor, combine the chickpeas (or lentils/black beans), breadcrumbs, flax egg, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, cumin, soy sauce, mustard, salt, and pepper. Pulse until everything is well combined but still slightly chunky for texture.

Shape the Patties

  • Form the mixture into small patties, about the size of a slider bun (you should get around 6-8 patties depending on the size).

Cook the Sliders

  • Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the patties and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Assemble the Sliders

  • Toast the slider buns. Place each patty on a bun and top with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and a drizzle of vegan mayo. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or side dish.

Tip: These vegan sliders are easily customizable. Try adding your favorite spices or toppings like avocado or vegan cheese!
